(p) To construct, improve, maintain, develop, work, manage, carry out or control any Roads, Ways, Tramways, Rail- ways, Branches or Sidings, Bridges, Reservoirs, Water Courses, Wharves, Manufactories, Godowns, Electric Works, Shops, Stores and other Works and conveniences which may seem calculated either directly or indirectly to advance the Company's interests and to contribute to subsidise or otherwise take part in the construction, im- provement, maintenance, working, management, carrying out or control thereof.

(2) To invest and deal with the monies of the Company not immediately required in such manner as may from time to time be determined and in particular in the shares of any company and that whether such shares are or are not fully paid up or subject to any liability.

(r) To borrow or raise or secure the payment of money in such manner as the Company shall think fit, and in particular by the issue of Debentures, perpetual or otherwise, charged upon all or any of the Company's property (both present and future) including its uncalled capital, and to pur- chase, redeem or pay off any such Securities.

(s) To remunerate any person or company for services rendered or to be rendered in or about the conduct of the Company's business.

(t) To draw, make, accept, indorse, discount, execute and issue Promissory Notes, Bills of Exchange, Bills of Lading, Warrants, Debentures and any other negotiable or trans- ferable instruments.

(u) To sell or dispose of the undertaking of the Company or any part thereof, for such consideration as the Company may think fit, and in particular for Shares, Debentures or Securities (whether fully or partly paid up) of any other company having objects altogether or in part similar to those of this Company.

(v) To sell, improve, manage, develop, exchange, lease, mort- gage, dispose of, turn to account or otherwise deal with all or any of the property and rights of the Company. (w) To do all or any of the above things in any part of the Far East, and as Principals, Agents, contractors or other- wise, and by or through Agents or otherwise, and either alone or in conjunction with others.

(a) Generally to do all such other things as in the opinion of the Company are incidental or conducive to the attain- ment of the above objects or any of them.
